About your Instructor:

Denise DeGidio lives in Northwestern Wisconsin and holds a Master of Visual Arts Degree in Fiber Art. Denise has been working with fiber for over 25 years - in particular clothing, textile, knitwear, natural dyes, and surface design, and has traveled around the country and internationally studying this medium. Denise has been a fibers instructor in higher education as well as locally, teaching various workshops and classes in the midwest. She appreciates using traditional craft and techniques to stay connected with how these methods and materials have been used over time by various cultures. Nature often inspires her work as it surrounds her daily, and Denise incorporates the elements of art and principles of design to bring inspirations to life.
