This class will explore with pencil and paper constructions of geometric patterns. These patterns have formed the creation of Islamic and Japanese (Kumiko) constructs for millennia.
Familiarity with the basic geometric techniques can equip you that practical skills that are useful in all fields of design, even in the digital age. We will each make a sketchbook of design elements and at least one presentation drawing suitable for framing.
Bring pencils, sketchbook. compass and astraightedge (12” ruler or a drafting triangle. Contact us if you need help getting supplies.
